Throw a Stranger an Unexpcted Smile

Hebrews 13:2  Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.

 I remember one Sunday a few years back... I noticed an older gentleman by himself in the back of church.  He came in after church had started and I did not notice him until after service was over and everyone was hugging their friends and planning lunch.  He sat by himself.  I went over and introduced myself.  I have attended church by myself forever it seems... I know how awkward it can feel at times.  I don't remember his name or what we talked about... what I do remember is that no one else saw him and no one else noticed me talking to him.  It was like it didn't happen.  But it did happen.  I can still remember his face.  Mature, friendly, wise eyes with a bit of a twinkle.
Throw a stranger an unexpected smile and entertain them.
