How To Make the Best Box Mix Cake Ever!!!

I'm not much of a baker or a sweets maker.  I've tried but for baking, you need to follow the instructions exactly... I'm not much of a rule follower.

But honey loves sweets and he needed cake for his birthday.  So I baked him one that was a success last year... Pillsbury's Strawberry Cake. 

I love box mixes!  So few ingredients to add and very yummy.  

This year I actually had the box mix on hand because I bought it for Kelly's 21st birthday last year and we never got to celebrate it properly because it was her 21st birthday... you know friends had the fun with her instead of us.  Ha ha.

Anyway, I made the cake for honey's birthday and he loved it.  I accidentally bought cherry frosting instead of strawberry icing, but luckily I had a can of white icing on hand leftover from the Christmas cookies.  

It was still pretty good.  

I did enjoy a piece of it.  We took Kelly a piece of it, but honey got to enjoy the rest of it himself!

So how do you make the best box mix cake ever??!!  Easy!  Follow the instructions!
